It is with deep sadness, and at the request of his family, that we announce the passing of Russell Dixon who died peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning, surrounded by his family.
Russell, a dear and personal friend, has been represented by Jane Hollowood Associates for 20 years and will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends and colleagues who knew and worked with him over his years in the industry.
Russell was an exceptionally talented actor with a career stretching over 5 decades in radio, television and most memorably, extensive achievements in theatre. His work included Royal National Theatre, Royal Exchange Theatre, RSC, Library Theatre and a large body of work with Alan Ayckbourn and Stephen Joseph Theatre.
Russell was a huge presence and a formidable character, who will be sadly missed and his passing is a great loss to the profession.
